[Malin] I have a weird memory. It is pretty good going back a few years, better than average, I'd say. However, at some point in the past, it drops off precipitously. It doesn't seem to be time-based; rather, it's relevance-based, so that I'm more likely to remember something that happened fifteen years ago with someone I'm still in touch with than something that happened five years ago with someone I haven't seen or talked to since.

Apparently a large number of people who went to middle school with me have discovered me on (non-specific social network) and are now reminiscing about middle school. Which was, for me, about thirty years ago, with a bunch of people I haven't seen or talked to in twenty or more.

Needless to say, I have NO chance.
