Just back from a routine physical yesterday (I passed). There was some discussion over a tetanus booster, because the last time I definitely remember getting one was in Minnesota in the mid-90s, so it was likely time for another one. My doctor told me it'd probably be time for one anyway, because they've been finding that the immunization for pertussis (whooping cough) we (mostly) got as kids has been wearing off, so they've bundled it with the tetanus booster and are recommending that anyone who hasn't had a tetanus booster in the last TWO years come in for the new combined shot.

The minor downside is that now my shoulder is gonna be sore for a couple days. Which makes me a little creeped out at what was in that shot, but it's always that way with tetanus. (Funniest part of that link: "The moral of this story is that Tetanus shots and God don't mix." in comments.)
